It was a convenient addition, especially at those times when get overly productive, finish you credits and still have a week or two till next credit renewal. Engaging with the service should not get punished. At the same time paying double for a month / rebuying the subscription could not be the solution, which we have right now.

Same here upgrading on yearly subscription feels like being stuck because it is too expensive. Buying credits is perfect so why remove it?

I agree, and was going to suggest it. I'm almost out of credits and have to wait nearly a month to get more.
